As Connected Families puts it, “if I want my discipline to connect, I have business to take care of before I engage.” So, let’s look at the foundational message of, “Child, you are safe with me.”

Serving Those Around Us

God’s Big Story said, “We worship God with our actions.” That’s exactly it! God is worshiped by our love for other people. Other people are blessed when we serve them. And as we serve, we get to partner with God in the work he is doing in both their lives and ours.

Seeing God Around Us

As we prioritize teaching our kids about the Lord, we want them to see that he is for them now. This means that we help grow their awareness of him. We want them to start to look for him!

Talking About The Bible

The Bible is something we get to speak to our children about, and read to them from. This is a command, yes, but also a privilege and pleasure.

Playing the Bible

That love of play is a wonderful thing to tie into the love of scriptures! The Bible is full of stories to be acted out!

All of the other moms that we have studied so far had redeeming qualities about them. Not Herodias. Her story is different from all the others in that she did not acknowledge or believe in God and her life showed it. Hers is a cautionary tale that we would be wise to heed.
