Hi Friends! My name is Lyssa and I am happy to meet you. My husband, Jonathan, and I have been married for sixteen years. We are a foster and adoptive family, with three incredible kiddos. Our house is loud and crazy! I love parenting, and I also love using my brain and my heart in other ways. I host a podcast, teach women about the moms of the Bible, am a parent coach, and I even wrote a children’s book. The longer I have been a mother, the greater the desire I have had to come alongside other moms to encourage and support. We need each other!
I accepted Christ as my savior during my teen years, after growing up in a Christ-following home. I left college early and served as a missionary with Youth With A Mission for a few years. I worked at a church in the missions department. I went back to school to get my masters and license in social work. I have been an IT admin, an online English teacher, an Instacart driver, a counselor, and now a stay-at-home mom. The journey of motherhood has not been easy but it is beautiful.
I love good French fries, sleeping when I get a chance, and bike riding. Reading while snuggling my kiddos is pretty much the best. My husband is my biggest supporter and makes this crazy life possible.
I am a woman, wife and mama who is desperately in need of the Lord’s grace, patience and wisdom. I fall all the time, but He is faithful to lift me up. The things on this website come out of my journey with Him. I hope they will encourage you in yours.
